This year would mark the end of my Polytechnic school life.
Throw aside all lecture notes, tutorial papers and self-written notes.
Really happy to be saying that but here comes the tough part,
deciding your path for another 5 years down the road.
Continue to further your studies or to work first?
I choose the latter. :)
At this age, I'm a little too 'short-of-money'.
Furthering studies require a huge sum of money and patience to absorb in knowledge.
As far as I'm concerned, my brain capacity has been totally used up, and I gotta empty all out soon.
I'm not a person who can really crack my brains to solve a question nor sit at the study table for a few hours. the maximum I'll sit still and study(or maybe scan through) would be 2 hours? :)
How about you guys?
Let me share with you my current plan for the next 5 years(there might be changes along the way...).
- After finishing Poly on the 17th of Feb 2012, I'll rest until March comes.
- March I'll start working full-time in either Kiehls or continue with Rosebullet.
- I'm actually considering interviewing to work in Nylon Mag SG :) I guess it'll be a good experience.
- At the mean time, I have to work full-time and spend less all the way till August, my 21st birthday!
- Save at least $2500 to spend, just in the month of August. This I got no confidence, seriously.
- After August passes by and September comes, I'll continue working and working.
- I'll then work all the way until I finally decide to study again. haha!
- If I decide to further my studies, it'll be in fashion design or hotel administration..
I really hope now that I can interview successfully for Nylon Mag SG.
Lastly, an inspiring video for all of you out there!
Remember! Never judge a book by it's cover & don't give up trying...

Something random to past my day...
I chanced upon this little paper questionnaire on Free People's blog & thought
of giving it a try. :)
So, here it goes.
I am a Student at Nanyang Polytechnic, and I'm currently in my Third & Final Year!!!
Before I sat down to do this questionnaire, I was browsing through blogs/facebook-ing/
listening to the radio/ransacking the web for DIY ideas. :)
The next concert I want to go to is Foster the People, but all tickets are sold out :(
I wish that I could go to New York City, baby!!!!!!! And never come back. ;)
I'm inspired by almost anything, but not everything, that I see with my naked eyes.
My favorite food combination is Pasta + cream sauce + lots of cheese + ham + sausages!!!
In my next life I want to come back as a Eurasian, maybe Asian Eurasian, or Caucasian Eurasian.
My Favorite color is PINK!
My best friend(s) is/are Clara Puar & Kassy Ong, and that will never change. :) ♥
My hands are too crumpled and rough :( haha!
Winter or Summer? Somewhere in between please! haha!
The best place to read a book is on a daybed with soothing music in the background
My favorite indulgence is Ben & Jerry's!!!
As a kid I was really really chubby, like a ball. :)

Is it too late to make my resolution list?
As the title says, here it is, my 2012 Resolution:
That's my 10 resolutions to be accomplished this year.
Work on it, Demi! :)
- Learn sewing.
- Earn money and bring my Mummy on a trip, all expenses on me! :)
- Build up my fashion portfolio.
- Work and save more money than spending it.
- Exercise more.
- Learn cooking.
- Watch out on my appetite.
- Take good care of my skin, esp. face.
- Set up a blogshop.
- Be independent.
That's my 10 resolutions to be accomplished this year.

DIY #2
Michael Kors inspired cut-out dress
Time taken: Approximately 1 hour
Tools/stuff needed:
- Your own dress, be it maxi, mid-length or mini! :)
- Scissors, sharp enough to cut through fabrics.
- Threads & needles, preferred color would be the one closest to the color of your dress.
- Pencil to draw out the shape
- Ruler to measure the diameter and stuffs to make sure it is not uneven when cut.
Now, you're ready to do your own DIY dress! :)
Step 1: Lay out your dress on a even surface.
Step 2: Measure and cut the holes on the side of the dress.
As quoted from A Pair & A Spare: " A circle about the size of a saucer sitting centered on each of the side seams at the height of your ribs is best."
Step 3: Cut out the circles, and hem the sides in using small stitches.
Step 4: After that, pleat the middle parts and sew it so it stays together.
Step 5: This is optional.
Cut out a strip of cloth from the circle part you cut out & roll it across the pleats to cover up
the stitches. Mine was rather ugly so I had to do this step. :)
Step 6: Put your 'new' dress on and unleash it's full glory to the people! :)

8 months to becoming TWENTY-ONE!
21, 21, 21....
Geez... just 8 months more! How fast does time past!
In 8 months time, I'll be 21 years old.
And when you're nearing 21, the most exciting part would be to
plan your birthday party(it gotta be the best one in your whole life!).
Thinking of the theme, to thinking of the budget & then the guest list,
it's all so stressful but yet an awesome time. :)
My budget would be about <$400.
So, for my upcoming 8-months-more-to-my-21st-birthday,
the theme I had in mind is:
1) Breakfast at Tiffany's
2) Tiffany & Co.
Both themes are somewhat alike, having the Tiffany & Co as the highlight of the night!
Simply Classic, ain't it?
For the 1st theme, Breakfast at Tiffany's, I've did some research.
- Since that show, Breakfast at Tiffany's, is a old show, maybe all props and outfits could be
black & white only.
- And since it focuses on Tiffany & Co too, there could be some Tiffany blue here & there!
- Music: Moon River, as played in the show.
- Pictures: I've got a big-ass picture of Audrey Hepburn in my living room now :) Awesome!
- Oh! most importantly, Diamonds scattered on tables!(fake one definitely!) haha!

Blue+White.
- Color theme: White and/or Tiffany blue. :)

- And maybe cupcakes too!
