universal studio walk-about :)

4th April 2010.

After my church, i went with baby to universal studios and just
walked around to explore the surroundings there.
we met at harbourfront station then walked around vivocity for awhile.
after that, took the sentosa express into sentosa's waterfront station.
waterfront station is where universal studios and resort world is at. :)

i liked the way they did the tunnel for the train to enter.
i was so excited when the train entered the rock tunnel..haha!
i even told baby that they should put some 'dragons' in the tunnel to add some
fun and excitement. & baby showed me the 'diao' face..lol!

when we reached there, i saw Hotel Michael.

below Hotel Michael at Level 1 is the Resort World Store.

walking further up, we saw the Lake of Dreams.
i don't understand why it's called the Lake of Dreams anyway.
in the picture it's hard to spot the Lake of Dreams because i stand a distance
away from there.
just thought of taking a picture of the surrounding while walking past it.

& this is how the directory looked like.
nature kind of theme. because it's sentosa. duh! -.-'''

walking further down in, is escalators into festive terrace which
is in the middle of Crockfords Towers and Hotel Michael.
and it leads to the Merlion.

This statue of a man and a woman naked is located at the middle
of Crockfords Towers & Hotel Michael.
baby suggested us to take photo posing like the man and woman.
but i didn't agree lol.. but we saw some tourists doing that.
it was so funny. but they are brave to do that infront of outsiders. :)

That's Crockfords Towers lobby entry area.

and that's Hotel Michael lobby entrance.
with the statue's butt at the sideway of the picture haha!*oops!

after that, we headed to Galleria where there is luxury fashion shops.
there'll be a chanel store opening soon :)
juicy couture and burberry has yet to open too.
but shops like bvlgari, jimmy choo & coach has already open it's doors.

i spotted this cute little long & thin-legged elephant.

beside that is the escalator entrance down to the casino.

and here is the Hall of Treasures.
quite dark with 3 different types of ambience sounds with
matching marquee displays.
there is birds, fire & aquatic themes.

me & baby ;)
i look fat here right?

the walkway to the Casino.
dark too. don't know why they have to make it dim.
like some kind of mysterious ambience.

and this is the biggest attraction for most aunty and uncles, the Casino.
baby & i spotted that in the queues, mostly were uncles and aunties. lol!

after exploring there, we went back up the escalator and walked the rest of the
Galleria. i was only looking for the Victoria Secret's shop :)
but it was disappointing. shop was small, not everything is over there and expensive.
i would rather shop online.

up ahead of Galleria is Festive Hotel.
Festive Hotel has that kind of artistic feel.
the Hotel is surrounded with artworks so colourful!
i loved it.

from Festive Hotel, it doesn't link us to anywhere else so we had to
walk back to the casino to exit.
after that, we walked towards Universal Studios.
these are the shops there:

garrett popcorn shop.
they sell many different kinds of popcorns..
caramelized popcorns, cheese popcorn, butter popcorn etc.

chilis'

& the Chocolate World full of Hershey's merchandises...

that's the Hershey's big coinbank.

baby using the hershey's soft toys as boobs haha!
just because it has a pointed top.
look at his priceless expression. so cute :)

me posing with the soft toy.

pink soft fluffly beanie hershey's PINK kisses! i love it! :))

baby posing with the Hershey's mascot doll.

me posing with the Hershey's mascot doll.

the uber big Hershey's syrup strawberry coinbank! so funny baby's expression!

yum yum~! :P

that's 2 years supply of Hershey's Chocolate bars for me!!! wooo~
in my dreams... :)

me with Reese's mascot.

Chocolate world is disappointing too.
stuffs were expensive & baby and i was expecting more
types of chocolates.
in the whole shop, there were only two types of chocolate...
80% is filled with Hershey's, 20% is Reese's.

we got out from there and we arrived outside Universal Studios.

there wasn't any queue at the ticketing counter.
i guess because that day was raining on and off with drizzles after that.
so the counter looked so deserted even on a sunday..

Universal Studios Singapore :)

the trademark globe of Universal Studios:
with me and baby posing infront of it.
sightseeing at there, this picture must never be missed ;)
because finally Universal Studios has landed in our island, Singapore!!!
but much much smaller though.

after that, we took the sentosa express back to vivocity and ate
beef chilli cheese fries at carls junior.
baby introduced it to me..taste so good, but it tasted like murtabuk. haha!

after eating, we walked around for awhile before having our dinner at 7pm
at the xing chen bah kut teh in food republic. my favourite :)
then we went back to baby's place straight away after eating
as baby has work the next day.

in exactly 1 weeks time i'll be flying to KL with baby & friends!
tomorrow, i'll be celebrating for baby his 21st birthday :)
and 2 days more, baby's and delin's chalet.
looking forward to everything!!!

baby said that after KL trip, he'll buy the Universal Studios fun pass :)
but it's expensive and cheap.
expensive because it costs a whopping $300+..
but cheap in a way that it's a annual pass..with unlimited number of entry times.
one entry ticket for one day costs $66 for mon-friday.
so a fun pass is more worth it..but to spend $300+ like tt, heart pain lehs!
