Founder of Burberry: Thomas Burberry

Burberry Group plc (LSEBRBY) is a British luxury fashion house, manufacturing clothing, fragrance, and fashion accessories. Its distinctive tartan pattern has become one of its most widely copied trademarks. Burberry is most famous for its iconic trench coat, which was invented by founder Thomas Burberry. The company has branded stores and franchises around the world, and also sells through concessions in third-party stores. HM Queen Elizabeth II andHRH The Prince of Wales have granted the company Royal Warrants. The Chief Creative Officer is Christopher Bailey. The company is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index.
According to Business Weekly, Burberry is the 98th most valuable brand in the world.[2]

5 things I like about this designer:
1) He's charming even when he's serious! :)

2) He is able to transform a old-British brand into an iconic luxury fashion house that is sought after!
3) They know how to market their products well so as to bring in revenue.
4) They are strong in the ever-competitive fashion industry.
5) Christopher Bailey is one amazing designer, what else can I say? :)
Some designs of his I love the most:

How he inspires me as a designer:
Though most of the top designers are from London, Burberry still manage to stay on top of the game. With the amazing irreplaceable trench-coat and the classic checker design, it has gained worldwide recognition and fame. I've learnt that with just one simple base pattern, you can make it to become different and special by adding on other elements. I'm keeping my eyes on the Nova check wallet and trench! :)
